Brief description of the institution

After 1922 a Benedictine community of nuns started operating there to serve the hamlet area around the town of Kecskemét. Their blessed work ended when they were dispersed in 1950. The Charity Service established first a transitory home in the former home of the land-steward then, in 1984 a home for the elderly. Today the religious order The Daughters of Saint Benedictine and the Pax Home live and work one next to the other.

The institution provides for its residents (men, women and couples) up-to date the physical and medicinal, psychic care they need are organises for them practical and useful activities.


Accommodation

In rooms with 1 or2, but maximum 3 beds. The wards for the patients have 2 or 3 beds.


Nursing

We have a separate nursing staff for our residents who need nursing assistance or supervision.

We also undertake to care for Alzheimer patients and patients with mental deterioration. We also operate a psychiatric ward. Home physician looks after the residents.

We provide the care the residents need according to their health status and we discuss the care with the family members of the residents. Every single resident receives tailor -made care by the specialised nurses, social nurses, physiotherapist, experts in mental hygiene, psychologist, home physician.


Services

The rooms are equipped with telephone and cable TV.


Holy Mass

Twice weekly in the neighbouring church. Daily communion performed by the Benedictine nuns.


Approach to the institution

By road: from the direction of Kiskunfélegyháza, Kecskemét or Csongrád.

By bus: from the direction of Kiskunfélegyháza or by the Eger-Szeged route


Visiting time

The home can be visited daily between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. We are glad to make our guest -room available to relatives coming from a big distance.
